SUMMARY:Eco-Industrial Parks (EIPs) and Innovation Knowledge Exchange in Korea
DESCRIPTION:UNIDO and the World Bank jointly organized a knowledge exchange visit to the Republic of Korea on Eco-Industrial Parks from 8 to 12 May 2023. This event has brought together officials from Korea’s Ministry of Industry\, Trade\, and Energy\, East Asia\, and Pacific (Indonesia and Vietnam) and Latin America and the Caribbean (Haiti and Brazil) countries\, World Bank Finance\, Competitiveness\, and Innovation staff\, UNIDO staff\, and relevant Korean public and private sector partners. From Indonesia\, the representatives from the Ministry of Industry\, the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs\, the Ministry of Environment and Forestry\, and the Indonesian Industrial Estates Association (HKI) attended the event. \nUNIDO and the World Bank are working together to include the indicators and benchmarks that would be adequate to assess the industrial parks for their competitiveness and also to evaluate them against the relevant benchmarks for Indonesia under the International Framework for EIPs in line with the ambition of the National Framework for EIPs in Indonesia
