Context
Eco-Industrial Park (EIP) Resource Pool
Eco-Industrial Park Resource Pool (hereinafter referred to as EIP Resource Pool) is created by UNIDO under the Global Eco-Industrial Parks Programme - Indonesia: Country Level Intervention (GEIPP-Indonesia) in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia supported by the Government of Switzerland through its State Secretariat of Economic Affairs (SECO).
Objective:
- To establish a database of EIP experts/practitioners and organizations
- To institutionalize EIP expertise
Target:
- Support the transformation of existing industrial parks into eco-industrial parks; and support the development of the infrastructure of new industrial parks in line with the international (or national) framework for EIPs
- Facilitate access to the industrial parks and their tenant companies to implement EIP opportunities, including RECP, Industrial Synergies, and Circular Economy approaches, through technical support from experts/organizations from the EIP Resource Pool as necessary.
Institutional status: under the Indonesia Cleaner Production Center with the support of the Ministry of Industry (Directorate of Industrial Region).
EIP Resource Pool requirements for individuals:
- Has attended EIP training from UNIDO and has obtained a certificate: For details, visit https://hub.unido.org/training-modules-eco-Industrial-parks
- Should have a valid government-issued ID (KTP for Indonesian nationals/national passport for foreigners)
- Has bachelor/master’s degree in environmental science, environmental sciences, energy management, industrial engineering, or a related field.
- Has at least five years of qualifying professional experience in the related field.
- Have actively participated in a minimum of five projects related to the sustainability of industrial parks and industries, including but not limited to the areas below:
- Energy Efficiency
- Waste Minimization
- Conservation and Efficient Use of Water
- Renewable Energy
- Waste Management and Treatment
- Circular Economy
- Social Management System
- Social and Community Infrastructure
- Local Community Outreach
- Wastewater Treatment and Recycling
- Green Building
- Energy and Environmental Management Systems
- Decarbonization
- Smart Monitoring System
- Environmental Permit and Compliance
- Human Resources
- Green Financing
6. Willing to support the EIP activities
Requirements for institutions:
- Should be a legal entity to provide products/services in the fields related to EIPs
- Proven experience in providing products/services in the areas related to EIPs
- Has at least one staff member qualified as an expert in the EIP Resource Pool
- Can be the following bodies but not limited to:
- Consultancy Firms
- Industrial Park Developers
- Equipment Manufacturer/Technology Provider
- Energy Service Provider (ESCO)
- Financial Institutions having Green portfolios/projects
- Universities and Research Centers
- Training Provider
- Any other Relevant Areas of Products and Services
5. Have human resources who have experience/knowledge regarding sustainability practices or environmental management.
6. Brochure for the products/services offered
7. Statement for the qualification and experience (write-ups will be acceptable), including the relevant projects implemented in the past
8. Willing to support the EIP activities
